Alaska Photo of the Month – April 2017

We looking forward to long, sunny days spent backpacking through the wildflowers of Lake Clark National Park, like the day captured in our April Photo of the Month!

We are proud to share this stunning photo from Andrew Peacock of Footloose Fotography.

Andrew joined Alaska Alpine Adventures on our iconic Turquoise Glacier High Route trip in 2016, and his images from that trip have us eager to get back to the high alpine of Lake Clark National Park and Preserve.

This trip starts on the shores of Telaquana Lake and travels through three of Lake Clark National Park’s most famous watersheds: Telaquana, Turquoise and Twin Lakes. Hikers travel across glaciers, alpine tundra and braided river deltas. Wildlife sightings are frequent and reliable, and the scenery is never short of stunning.
