Discover This Legendary Tour & Iconic Frontier

See Lake Clark In All Its Glory, And Join Us In 2024.

Our Legendary Twin Lakes Paddle Adventure

National Geographic once called our trip to Lake Clark National Park a “Tour of a Lifetime”—and many of our guests have agreed. Right in the heart of this park is Twin Lakes, a wonderland of crystalline waters set beneath mountains and tundra.

Here’s what you’ll do during this tour:

  • Take a scenic bush flight from Anchorage through Lake Clark Pass
  • Hop on a floatplane for the flight to Twin Lakes
  • Hike to waterfalls, along ridges, and through alpine tundra
  • Kayak from campsite to campsite
  • Enjoy all-inclusive, delicious meals along the way
  • Visit Dick Proenneke’s famous cabin
  • And much, much more.

It’s no wonder that our Twin Lakes Paddle Trip is one of our guest favorites. Plus, it’s home to moose, caribou, Dall’s sheep, black and brown bears, and the legacy of Dick Proenneke—the conservationist featured in the popular PBS documentary Alone in the Wilderness.

Join us in 2024 and book your trip before all the spots fill up. It’s one adventure you don’t want to miss.

The Legacy and Life of Dick Proenneke’s Cabin

Visiting the hand-hewn log cabin of Dick Proenneke (1916-2003) is possibly the greatest treat of the Twin Lakes Paddle Trip in Lake Clark National Park. With hard work, he built the rugged and rustic icon and lived without electricity, a phone, or running water for 30 years, making him the original “survivor” of his day.

This WWII Navy veteran was featured in a PBS documentary, and his story is worth immersing yourself in as his cabin remains the ultimate symbol of perseverance and fortitude.
